This year’s Furry Friends Fall Fête celebrates two remarkable volunteers whose dedication is making a lasting difference at SAVE: Juan Alba and Helen Wang.
Juan is one of our most trusted dog-walking volunteers, known for his special connection with our larger and more active dogs. Week after week, he arrives ready to help wherever he is needed, always bringing patience, kindness, and quiet humility. Juan also uses his creativity to showcase our animals on social media, helping others see the wonderful personalities we know and love.
Helen has become an extraordinary ambassador for SAVE. An active dog- walking volunteer, she joined our Street Team and quickly became one of its most dedicated members—representing SAVE at nearly every event before stepping into the role as team leader. Her warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm have helped us build stronger connections throughout our community and introduce many more people to our mission. She is also an adopter and active dog foster mom.
Juan and Helen contribute in different ways, but they share the qualities that define the very best of SAVE: compassion, dependability, generosity, and a willingness to step forward whenever help is needed. We are proud to honor them and deeply grateful that they are part of the SAVE family.
